It doesn’t have to be so complicated

Do you guys ever get in your head about something? So much so, that it paralyzes you? I do. Especially when its something new. For example this website your looking at. I haven’t touched it in ohhh…. 8 months. Why? Because I was overwhelmed. I don’t like anything with technology. That’s why I LOVE the farm. Hands on the dirt, open air, animals. Well, no one told me that making a farm, a business would involve a fair……..NO, large amount of time behind the screen. So this year I am vowing to overcome my own overwhelm. If I can grow a field full of flowers and keep a whole farm of creatures alive then I can manage a website. Right?

New things are overwhelming. Things we have done over and over cause us no discomfort. However, growth is in the discomfort. I told myself that either I become comfortable, being uncomfortable, or the farm will fail. I am determined that this farm will not fail. There’s something BEAUTIFUL happening here. Something that needs to be shared with others. (Despite my technological struggles, lol.) I don’t know about you but, I’m done being overwhelmed. I’m ready to take control of the things that scare me.

I am so grateful that you guys are following along with our journey. With time, Blessed Nest Farm is going take its true shape. It will develop its own rhythm. My goal is to show you all the beauty and the real struggles. Lawd!, there are struggles. I hope one day, we look back and laugh at the things I once thought were too complicated to tackle. I also want to encourage you to be uncomfortable. Go after that beautiful thing that you want and know I'm cheering you on. When we fall, lets get back up, laugh about it and try again.

Go take “Winter” by the horns. (For those who do not know, “Winter” is a very spicy heifer here on the farm)

Don’t forget to Be Still and Look for the Joy!
